Life on the solarium

Long stays

Not everything needs to be a holiday.

Stay longer and routines emerge, favourite places become personal and an accommodation becomes a genuine home for a while.

01 — Work under southern skies

Work deserves
a better setting.

Villa Murcia is intended to support focused work and shared living at once, with privacy, useful surfaces and a day that does not end at the desk.

The guest guide will document connectivity, working spots and practical alternatives clearly and honestly.

Murcian landscape

02 — The seasons

Murcia changes the rhythm.

Spring and autumn suit nature, cities and long evenings. Summer moves life into early and late hours. Winter can be bright and mild while the mountains tell a different temperature story.

03 — Everyday life

The luxury of
leaving days unplanned.

A walk, shopping, reading by the pool and cooking spontaneously: staying longer also means not turning every day into an excursion.

The digital guest guide will bring arrival, house knowledge, shopping, health, weather and personal favourites into one practical place.

04 — Workation in detail

The same time zone.
A different horizon.

Spain and Germany share a time zone. The working day can remain familiar while light, landscape and free time change dramatically.

Why Condado de Alhama?

Quiet after the last video call.

Controlled access, little through-traffic and a calm residential setting support concentration. Coast, mountains and cities remain accessible by car.

This location requires independence. A hire car is practically essential for longer stays. Anyone wanting spontaneous choice among many walkable restaurants each evening may prefer a city or coast location.

Technology for longer stays

A dedicated room for focus.

The separate office keeps focused hours apart from shared living. For longer stays, internet, mobile backup, workspace, lighting, sockets and other technical requirements are discussed personally.

Weekly rhythm

Focus needs open edges.

Work with concentration Monday to Thursday, finish earlier on Friday, explore on Saturday and leave Sunday free. Sport or a walk can replace the commute.

Provisioning

Everyday life remains everyday life.

Al Kasar covers basics. Larger shops and markets lie beyond the resort. Cleaning, linen changes and other services can be agreed for longer stays.

Teams & retreats

A private home, not a seminar hotel.

Small working stays may fit when guest count, beds and work needs are realistic. Events, public traffic and noisy groups are not intended.

For a long-stay enquiry, tell us the dates, guest count, usual working hours and any specific technical requirements. That lets us confirm honestly whether the villa fits.

05 — Best time to visit

The right season
depends on your day.

Warm sea, golf, hiking and focused work do not need the same conditions. Season is therefore a decision aid, not a ranking.

Spring

Movement & change

Good for nature, cities, golf and photography. Warm days meet cool evenings, variable weather and water that may still be fresh.

Summer

A different daily rhythm

Pool, sea and long evenings. Be active early and pause at midday; do not place open trails or cities in the hottest hours.

Autumn

Warm sea, greater calm

Comfortable for golf, culture, wine and long stays. Mediterranean heavy-rain warnings must still be taken seriously.

Winter

Light & temporary everyday life

Appealing for work, golf, hiking and quiet coast. Sunny days may be mild while nights and shade are cool. A warm pool is not assumed.

Quick decision

What would you like to experience?

  • Beach and late outdoor living: summer or early autumn
  • Golf and excursions: spring or autumn
  • Hiking and nature: spring, autumn and mild winter days
  • Several weeks of workation: autumn through spring
  • Quiet cities and coast: winter outside holidays

06 — Weather logic

Before ten. After six.
And a good Plan B.

A hot or windy day does not improve when you cling to the original plan. Weather does not decide whether a day works — it decides which day makes sense.

The good summer day

Experience early, truly pause at midday.

Beach, market, a walk or short nature route belong at the beginning. From roughly 14:00 to 18:00, lunch, a cool interior, reading and rest are part of the day. Later, a late beach, padel, cooking or a city evening creates a second day.

Headache, dizziness, nausea, unusual fatigue or confusion may signal heat illness. Stop activity, cool down and call 112 for serious symptoms.

Strong wind

Change coast or choose a city.

Postpone boats, exposed coves and open hikes. Cartagena, Murcia, Lorca or a sheltered lunch are usually better.

Rain

Museum day, except under warning.

Cartagena offers the theatre museum and ARQUA, Murcia the Casino and cathedral, Lorca embroidery museums. Under severe-weather warnings, avoid ramblas, low areas and unnecessary driving.

Cool winter day

City, wine and craft.

Golf in suitable conditions, cooking and a sunny terrace can work beautifully even when swimming does not.

Nobody wants to leave?

That is also a plan.

Breakfast without a clock, reading, working, cooking and a resort walk. The villa is more than a departure point.

07 — Itineraries

Three, seven or fourteen days.
Never everything at once.

A good stay leaves open days. Repetition is not a missed opportunity; it is where orientation turns into personal rhythm.

3

days · a first sense

  1. Arrive, shop, understand Condado de Alhama and the villa.
  2. Early Mazarrón or Bolnuevo, late lunch and a villa evening.
  3. Cartagena or Sierra Espuña; golfers may choose an early round.

Murcia, Lorca and wine can wait for the next stay.

7

days · contrasts

  1. Arrival.
  2. Mazarrón and Bolnuevo.
  3. Villa plus golf or padel.
  4. Cartagena.
  5. Free: laundry, market, home office.
  6. Sierra Espuña or Gebas.
  7. Murcia or repeat a favourite.
14

days · living for a while

Week one: Condado de Alhama, coast, Cartagena, Sierra or Gebas, sport and two villa days.

Week two: Murcia, Lorca or Totana/Aledo, Bullas, a cetacean trip in suitable conditions, one favourite repeated and two free days.

For workations, major outings belong on three or four free days — not between video calls.

08 — Arrival & mobility

With a car,
freedom begins.

Villa Murcia lies inland from the Costa Cálida. Booked guests receive the address, access, registration and key procedure in good time before travel.

Airports

Murcia or Alicante.

Región de Murcia is the regional airport; Alicante may suit particular flight schedules. Booked guests receive the recommended route and realistic timing before travel.

Hire car

Compare more than the day rate.

Luggage, number of drivers, insurance, fuel policy and desk hours matter. Photograph the car at collection and clarify additional-driver rules.

Resort access

The correct entrance.

Guests receive address, entrance, registration and key procedure before travel. A pre-agreed starter pack may help after a late arrival.

Without a car

Only with planning.

Transfers, shopping and outings must be organised. Taxi and ride availability should not be assumed to work like a major city.

Safe travel

Take regional rules seriously.

  • never drive through flooded ramblas
  • use a transfer or sober driver for wine
  • respect parking and nature-park rules
  • leave no valuables visible
